What should I look for in a pair of binoculars for landscape viewing?

Kenneth Queener: Well I guess if your going with landscape viewing binoculars, you probably should look for LANDSCAPES in the binoculars!Just kidding... Depends on what your going to look at AND where you're going to use them. Most people use their binoculars at sporting events, the beach or while hiking (bird watching?). You might want a light-weight, water-proof model. If you are going to observe nature from a great distance you'll want something bigger, probably with a tripod. Good selection of different brands on the site below. I use the Weather Worthy 8 X 25 at the beach. Good for bright scenes (and bird/girl watching). For darker scenery and more magnification you might want bigger optics like a 10 X 50. Much bigger and your arms will get tired holding it....Show more
