Anton Waln: ehhh theres some cool movies out there that make me wanna play with guns and I could possibly be naturally intrigued by violence. Video games are the main culprit. If you played a lot of violent video games in your youth you received a large amount of entertainment, and you associate the entertainment with the images on the screen. The way you collect guns in a game may change your perspective on materialism. The quality of the gun and variety makes it a very desirable object as well as the power, making you want to have one for yourself. Also violence has a large tie to ego and excitement, more so in movies than in video games. Sometimes there are moral values when violence occurs. AKA Good Guy vs. Bad Guy but both get to use uber cool guns. besides peaceful television is nowhere near exciting, the adrenaline and entertainment in viewing violence is what makes it a simulation and not a real-world experience....Show more
Wilbert Shellgren: it is humorous! because me and my grandma had this same communicate earlier. She feels that television violence has a damaging outcome on society yet i believe that it would not. television is meant to both tell or entertain. the conception in the back of television violence is frequently to entertain. you are able to't blame it on the flaws that the human beings contained in the international do. that is their own psychological complications. it is definitely a proper difficulty that you've presented up...Show more
Sharolyn Claybourn: the nazis didint do what they did because they were watching violent programs, people didint make black people slaves because of t.v. violence is part of our history.people who complain about t.v annoy me, how about worrying about REAL issues in the world instead of t.v/radio/games and movies. If your worried about children seeing violent programs, then be a good parent for once and dont alow them to see it.you see things much much worse either everyda! y on the news. for one day watch nothing but the news and see ! how much worse it is.if your someone that complains about violence on television/radio/games or movies, than your making a fool of yourself, there are much more important things in life than worrying about something that you may not like....Show more
Marita Stadick: ... Violence has many different flavors... Your question is vague, but I'll try to give you an example... If a man takes our frustration on a woman, child or animal, then that violence may get him arrested immediately... This may teach a large percentage of people to "Think First and Think Fast" ..
Rodolfo Merel: It makes you used to violence and the programs shows just the violence there and then and not the side effects in family and society. Some programs justifies violence as a method for building an image and as a common acceptable way of handling issues. The heroes that you want to be like is seldom non violent. The threshold for making the first blow in someones face or hitting with a bat is! lower when it is common practice for others....Show more
Hai Biggart: I don't want to site reasons and examples because I'm not going to write you school report for you. However, all scientific evidence contradicts these claims. If you look into sources that believe otherwise, they never have any facts to back themselves up. It is not really a discussion so much as it is a shouting match. People who are angry and without facts just tend to yell louder....Show more
