Julieta Suleiman: SOME PEOPLE need to hear there own knowledge and want to believe that they are right and not be proved wrong ( Lack of experience ), they have their own preference, just like what food to eat tonight.butMOST people just have an opinion.Just soldier on and take the best from the worst....Show more
Benita Nancy: What can I say? Some people are in the know.. others are not!
Tillie Wynott: Some people know something...Some people think they know something...Some people don't know or think anything.I'm like you, I don't work in an audio shop but I have installed a lot of equipment since I was a teenager. And even though I've learnt a lot more than some people ever will, I still pick the brains of the master MECP guys at the audio store every time I'm in there to buy something. Sometimes I learn something new, sometimes I learn a better way of doing something, sometimes I learn that the guy's an idiot who shouldn't be allowed near a tape player wit! hout supervision. But I always learn something. Once you have nothing left to learn, you're a moron. As for the other stuff, there are so many new mobile audio brands coming out, it is hard to keep the pecking order straight. And on top of that, some brands that used to be substandard are starting to come out with quality products (ie the Hifonics "Brutus" series being released this year actually getting a good review from PSAM) and some old quality names are slipping (Kenwood amps frying out). The market and technologies will always continue to evolve, and if anybody claims to know everything about everything then I think they're probably a closet case idiot. All us true "philes" know that ohms may not mean anything to the quality of the build of the sub, but that it's CRITICAL to proper wiring. And most of us know that even rms specs are unreliable unless the amp is bench marked by the reviewers in the audio mags or tech sites. So the next time someone thinks they know.......Le! t em tell it to your back.Later man.Shane...Show more
J! eannine Vassie: The person that said that Alpine is better than the Z serious by DD is a complete retard, and has no idea of what they were talking about. Pioneer and Alpine do make some quality products though, but speakers from Pioneer and subs, are decent and not much better than that. Alpine speakers are better than that of Pioneer as well as the subs. Not to mention Pioneer amps are no where near that of Alpine amps at all. Mmats Audio, not many people have heard of them let alone heard the products. Most people are put off by Orion, because why I do not know. The only reason that you would take the peak wattage and cut it in half to get an rms wattage is if the maker does not list the rms wattage, but then again why buy anything from companies like Pyle Audio. I have heard of Incriminator Audio, but have not heard the products. I have seen their stuff on line and personally was not impressed with what I see, now that does not mean that the equipment does not perform..! ..Show more
Julee Lanham: incriminator audio slams hardim sure they have the loudest subs at spring break nationalsand probably have won competitionscheck their website out
Launa Weingarten: there are alot of good brands out there. some people want a brand with more customer support like alpine. some people want a less expensive option like fi (only sold online). it is all about preferences. If you prefer something you will also recommend it. As for ohms tell that guy he better do some research before he fries his amp and subs. Cheper brands that say 500 rms are not always telling the whole truth. It may be a rms value over to short of a time span ex. 1/2 second. the real benchmark value is continuous power rms. : )...Show more
Pearlie Medora: I cant use my Rockford Fosgate amp. Its too powerful. Drains my battery, blows fuses and toggle switches :( Do you know what to do? Maybe you can help me. Right now I got all my speakers on my hearse unhooked because! nobody knows how to hook up an amp that powerful.
Rose Krouse: Y! our guy that told you OHMS don't mean anything is FULL OF ....well you know the rest !!Ohms is Your Impedance which is the LOAD that the Amp will see..Or the load that the speakers are so when you see a speaker at 150 watts at 8 ohm that tells me that if that speaker is a DVCor (dual voice coil) I can wire that speaker parallel to make the amp see a 4 Ohm load LESS LOAD means More power Output.....BUT more power output generates more HEAT output meaning if your amp isn't "stable" at a 2 OHM load then your AMP WILL overheat and BURN UP!!Its literally running a chainsaw Wide Open WITHOUT cutting wood NO LOAD your will FRY that sawtake same saw and run wide open and cutting through huge log....chainsaw feels a load so it runs like its suppose to!By the way I own an Alpine 7904 deck I bought in 1988 i STILL own it and it works GREAT!this deck DOES NOT SKIP!! point blank! And these days NOBODY builds an amplifier that even comes close to an A/D/S (analog digital systems) PQ20.2 ! OR an Old school PPI Amp!!...Show more
